At halfway Covey had a two length lead over Gurdak with Justin Carlson up to third. At ten complete Covey was in lapped traffic with Gurdak right on his tail. After the lapped cars were cleared Covey again opened his lead and Frederes came back to third with three laps left. As the white flag waved traffic was again looming and Gurdak caught Covey in that traffic on the back straight but fell back coming to the finish, falling short by 0.360 second. Frederes wound up third with Jeramy Williams fourth, and Carlson fifth.
