About Bill Law:
Bill Law was a lifelong supporter of racing whose passion began in the late 1970s with muscle cars and drag strips, eventually leading him to help field cars on both asphalt and dirt throughout the 1980s and beyond. Though he never raced himself, Bill was deeply involved behind the scenes—supporting drivers, helping crews, traveling to tracks across multiple states, and later guiding his son Jon through Go-Karts, IMCA Modifieds, and Limited Late Models. A true pioneer in the region, Bill was the first to introduce a Crate Late Model when the class debuted in the Northeast in 2007, fielding his iconic #14 for a long list of well-known drivers. His passion for racing became a family legacy that now carries on through his grandson, Kyle Murray. Diagnosed with small cell lung cancer in 2011, Bill passed away in 2012, but his devotion to the sport and the racing community continues to be honored to this day.

Dean Gibson Sr. was one of the countless hard-working men and women who helped shape Stateline Speedway into the community it is today. On Wednesday, July 8th, Stateline Speedway once again takes center stage on the national dirt racing scene as the World of Outlaws Late Model Series makes its highly anticipated return for the Rick Briggs Memorial. It’s been three years since the Outlaws last roared across Stateline clay, and their return represents one of the most significant racing events in the track’s modern era.

The $15,000-to-win, $1,200-to-start event marks the eighth World of Outlaws Late Model race contested at Stateline since the series’ inaugural visit in 2005. In those seven previous appearances, seven different drivers have claimed victory — John Blankenship (2005), Dick Barton (2006), Shane Clanton (2013), Brandon Sheppard (2018), Max Blair (2019), Dave Hess Jr. (2021), and Nick Hoffman (2023) — a testament to the competitiveness and unpredictability of this historic venue.
This isn’t simply another tour stop, it’s a tribute to Rick Briggs, a homecoming for elite racing, and a return to the national spotlight.

As Stateline celebrates its 70th anniversary, Queen of the Hill is a special night dedicated to the women who helped build, shape, and propel Stateline Speedway across seven decades — from pioneers and champions on the track to the leaders behind the scenes. The program will highlight stories throughout the night, including milestones like Holly Osborne becoming the first woman to win a feature at Stateline on July 30, 1977, and honoring many of the women who have carried Stateline forward across generations.

The centerpiece is the Queen of the Hill Heat & Feature — a showcase race featuring past and present female drivers battling head-to-head for the crown (showcase car class TBA). Then it’s Super 7 Racing all night with Stateline’s top divisions.

HONORING THE WOMEN OF STATELINE

On July 30th, 1977, Holly Osborne became the first woman to win a feature at Stateline, beating a full field of men, she represents only one chapter in an incredible story.

From its founding 70 years ago, women have made Stateline what it is today:

• Val Baker — whose writing brought Stateline’s racing to life in local and regional media
• Lynn Seamens — whose passion propelled Stateline through some of its best years
• Jenifer Gustafson - who as GM, operated Stateline into its 5th decade, and ultimately wore the hat of "owner"

The wildest event of the year is BACK — and bigger than ever. The Stateline 200 Enduro returns with more drivers, more chaos, more Halloween fun, and more prize money. This is 200 laps of pure survival where Stateline’s regular drivers race against fans on the same track, packing dozens of cars onto the speedway for a nonstop endurance battle with minimal cautions and maximum madness. Wrecks, breakdowns, strategy, and stamina — in an Enduro, survival is a strategy.

The 2026 payout is stacked with $2,500 to WIN, a $6,500 total purse, top 15 paid, plus a “Best of Show” award. And in 2026 the event goes fully electronic with transponders, meaning no scorers are needed.
